| Here we are again, on a cloudy but dry day. The course was in good fettle even if, in Alistair's eyes, some of the pin positions could only be described as challenging. Brian Hardwill won the modelling competition with a very catchy pair of trousers topped with iridescent shirt styling. Interestingly most people's handicaps seemed to have improved since last season, including Roy who was cut the most number of shots in one outing last year - 8. Alistair 'lucky' Johnson was the winner, chipping in at the 9th for an eagle. 10 more started than the first day last season so it all looks set fair for this season.
